Eileen is an honorary associate professor (Auckland University), and clinical director of haematology and lead thrombosis clinician at North Shore Hospital, Auckland. Her sub-specialist interests are antiphospholipid syndrome, women’s haematological issues and distal DVT.

Eileen completed a fellowship in thrombosis and haemostasis at Monash Medical Centre in 2010; her PhD was based on a multicentre Australasian trial on management of distal DVT. She serves on a number of international editorial boards and committees, including the ISTH Live Education Committee, and is the past president of THANZ (Thrombosis & Haemostasis Society of Australian and New Zealand).
