Dr Briony Cutts

Dr Briony Cutts is a consultant haematologist and clinical lead of obstetric medicine at Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s at Western Health in Melbourne, Australia. She also works the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne and is particularly passionate about providing best care to women with bleeding and clotting disorders in their pregnancy journey. She is the President of the Society of Obstetric Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (SOMANZ), a founding director of the Haematology in Obstetrics and Women’s Health (HOW) Collaborative and a senior lecturer at the University of Melbourne. She has a research interest in venous thromboembolism, bleeding disorders and anaemia in pregnancy and teaches obstetric haematology to trainees, obstetricians, and midwives.
